It would remain in operation until 1994 when it was no longer maintained and left abandoned. Ten years later would see its destruction in a massive fire that the fire department considered suspicious. Today Briarcliff Manor, NY consists of well over 8,000 people, an impressive rise from its just over 300 at the time of its incorporation.
